Mihai PopsoiI am Mihai(l) Popșoi – Deputy Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament and Vice President of the ruling Action and Solidarity Party – formerly a freelance political analyst with a Ph.D. from the University of Milan. As I have long been covering Moldovan politics for a living, this site is a means of keeping up and improving my craft, staying in touch with political developments and, hopefully, informing an interested audience about the intricacies of Moldovan political process and debates.

Thus, I envision this page not only as a forum for my political commentaries but also as a generic resource on Moldovan politics. The intended audience of this platform is anyone who is interested or just curious about politics in a small, yet complex country knocking at European Union’s door.

As of September 2017, I am also Vice President and International Secretary of the Action and Solidarity Party of Moldova. Since June 8, 2019, I am Deputy Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament.

Throughout my experience, I believe I have learned to analyze the facts rather than engage in an emotionally charged partisan bickering. Yet, where personal opinion is involved, subjectivity is inevitable. To improve this experience, please do share your thoughts in the comments section.

Have a good read!
